For over 70 years, Al Gauron’s Deep Sea Fishing and Whale Watching located at 1 Ocean Blvd has been the premier name in fishing and deep sea adventures on Hampton Beach. Captain Al himself raised his four sons with the ocean as their front and back yard, and all four boys have continued the family tradition of fishing as the family livelihood, in one way or another. As time has passed, we have said goodbye to the beloved Al and his son, Rocky Gauron, Sr., but the Gauron name remains strong on the Seacoast. We are so proud to report that the fleet continues to grow with the third generation.
Congratulations to Captain Cory Gauron, who has just added the perfect sized boat, the Cora Beth, to Hampton Harbor, that can accommodate groups of 30 people or less, at a reasonable price.
We are delighted that Captain Rocky Gauron, Jr., will be returning from his winter in Hawaii, and that Captain Derek Gauron, will continue to run their “six pack” charters, aboard the Thumper II and the Capt. Al, respectively, for your groups of 6 people or less.
The Gaurons proudly feature the two beautiful party boats, the Northern Star and the White Star. They are captained once again this year by longtime favorites, Johnny and Pete. These two vessels can accommodate up to 100 people, for whale watches, pirate cruises, fireworks cruises, and, of course, fishing.
The fourth generation is led by Jackson Nicoll, who is a daily fixture on these boats, and is working towards becoming a captain, like his grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and great-uncles before him.
This is a legacy we are all so proud to be a part of. Our business continues to grow and help meet all of your needs while enjoying Hampton Beach, including the convenient tackle shop, restaurant, and kayak rentals on site!
This year, we are thrilled to announce the first annual Kids Camp! Stay tuned for more details. If you know anything about us, you know we love fostering a love of fishing and seamanship from a young age. April and Angel are notorious in their generosity towards young children who show an interest in fishing, and love to welcome others into their family’s passion. We will be asking our customers to join us in a coat drive this year to help keep local children warm this winter. Further details will be released shortly.
We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and relations. There may be competitors with bigger and faster boats, but what we have is a family that was born into this business. Our employees have been with us through many hurdles and we consider them family, as well.
