Haddock are biting. 12 per person. Book now!

Thanks Ralph for texting in a great report from the White Star with Capt Johnny. Looks like an average of  6-7 haddock per person with some guys getting their limit of 12. Everyone was very happy. No overcrowding. Great crew. Tomorrow Sunday June 2 we have 2 all day boats headed out from 8-5. Book online or show up by 7am for an 8 o’clock departure. Let’s go fishing! April

The fish are there but anglers are saying you really need to work for them. Capt Johnny on the White Star had his 2019 maiden voyage with a sold out boat of mostly novice fishermen. Him and his crew of Bob and Jose whipped everybody into shape and they managed to get some nice haddock in the boat. Average 4 per person. Capt Pete had a 12 hour trip on the 6am marathon. We do not overcrowd this trip and it is luxury fishing for sure. Almost a decent day with average of 6 haddock per person, a few cusk and Pollock thrown in. Guys jigging are almost limiting out. Is it extra windy this year or what? Next all day trip is Wednesday. Book online now! April

A late bite on the Northern Star with Derek at the wheel and Josh and Jax on deck made for a boat load of happy customers. Even the youngest anglers were waving their bags of haddock filets in the air. This wind is ridiculous. Average 6 haddock per person. Memorial Day all day trip is sold out. A few spots left on marathon. Book online or show up by 515 am for the 6am departure. Galley wench Kim promises a hearty meal for the fishermen so come on down! April

So all day Saturday was fair. Some anglers had 6 haddock while some got SKUNKED. A few pollock kicking around. No size to anything. If you’re feeling energetic throw a jig on. Little more action there. Today  05/26 everything is sold out. Tomorrow MEMORIAL DAY All day is sold out Few spots left on the marathon so book online or call to reserve your actual fishing spot on the boat. Tues-Fri we are running 2 boats for all day.

Ironically Mondays all day boat is almost sold out but plenty of room on our first marathon of the year. Book online to see your spot on the boat!

Capt Derek did his best to put them on the fish…but they just weren’t biting. Tops 70 haddock for the entire boat but everyone was happy as he took some extra time to throw in a little whale watch on the way in. Next trip Fri 8-5

Fishing was good today. Most people had between 4/5 haddock today. Could the weather be getting better,sunnier,calmer? Give us a call to see when we have room. Monday looks great!

Capt Pete had the Northern Star out today with a boat load of customers, including some beautiful mothers….but that’s about as good as it got. The haddock weren’t biting like they have been. A few per person if they were lucky. A few redfish mixed in. Pete is heading back out there tomorrow Monday May 13 to teach those fish a lesson! Jump on 8-5 tomorrow!

So let’s talk fishing….. A great day for the Northern Star with Capt Pete.  6 haddock per person average with about 8 people limiting out( limit is 12). However, according to our buddy Ralph lots of pollock were coming over the rail too…some a little small but made for a lot of action. A lot of action means a LOT of phone calls/online bookings. Our next sailing date is Saturday May 11( sold out) Sunday May 12 ( spots left with a Mothers Day Special so jump on that) Monday May 13 looks like the LEAST rainiest day next week so jump on. So after you check in to get your tickets, stop in Utes restaurant for breakfast( cash only) and say hi to Liz in tackle and buy a jig!! KEEPING THE BOAT IN TOMORROW FRIDAY MAY 10….
